Finally a cut!

Dear Page,
I DID IT!!! I finally screwed up my courage and steeked the sweater I'm knitting for Bee. Here is the proof:
Now I just have to block the sleeves, steek the sleeve openings, pick up and knit the button bands, the neck band and sew on the buttons. Personally, I think the easiest part of the sweater was the knitting! What remains to be done seems daunting to me. But there is hope that the sweater will be finished before winter.
Love,
Mom

WooHoo! I am so happy that you were able to do this and that it went well. Congratulations, Mom. It really is an accomplishment in your knitting skill set. The rest of is seems daunting because the fun parts are over. Finishing is such fussy work, but you have to do it well or it just doesn't look good. Hope it goes smoothly. You can think good thoughts for me if I ever complete the Fair Isle cardigan and have 3000 ends to weave in!
Weaving in ends isn't so bad. I actually rather enjoy it. However, picking up stitches for the bands and sewing in the sleeves isn't nearly as much fun!
