February Lady Sweater
Page,
Here's an update on the February Lady Sweater...
As you can see, some progress is being made. I soon will need the length measurements but perhaps not too soon.
This shows a truer picture of the color...
Here is a better view of the lace pattern across the back but the color is very washed out....
I still haven't made up my mind whether or not this will travel with me to Iceland. It is a large piece of knitting to take but I am having so much fun doing it. Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!

Dear Page,
I have started your February Lady Sweater in the Elann superwash bamboo yarn in chocolate truffle. It is a lovely soft yarn to work with and I think it will make a wonderful cardigan. Here's the progress so far...
Checking on Ravelry, I found that I liked the look of the sweaters that used a yo for the yoke increases so I substituted that for the m1 instructions in the pattern. Besides, I didn't really like the way the second of the pair was working.
I used the one row buttonhole instructions from Montse Stanley's book, Knitter's Handbook. I think it turned out rather well.
This may be the project I take with me to Iceland in a couple of weeks. I will post progress pictures as I can.
Love,
Mom

Mom it is looking so nice! I saw the photos on Flickr first and then checked in here. The date of your post threw me at first, but then I figured out what was going on. The sweater looks so gorgeous. I did actually send you measurements in your RavMail today. Let me know if you need other info!
Very nice Mom. That yarn does have a lovely sheen to it. I can hardly wait to wear it. It will look great, especially with full-length sleeves and the YO increases. Woohoo! So excited to be getting a hand knit sweater.
